We are Rockhounds! The Springfield Thunderegg Rock Club has been in existence for several decades; it was due to our Club's efforts that the Thunderegg was designated as Oregon's Official State Rock in 1965.
Our Club members meet at the Willamalane Adult Activity Center, 215 West "C" Street, in Springfield, Oregon 97477 on the second Tuesday of each month, with the exception of August which is our annual picnic month.
The meeting starts at 7 p.m.
Guests are very welcome. If you or anyone you know are interested in the hobby of collecting rocks or the lapidary skills, please join us! We have the use of a well-equipped lapidary workshop at the Willamalane Adult Activity Center in Springfield. OUR MEMBERSHIP APPLICATION FORM IS AVAILABLE HERE ON OUR SITE.

Rockhounding is a wonderfully healthy outdoor activity for families and we encourage youth participation; to this end we offer an annual scholarship to a student in our local high schools.
Display in the Springfield Library
Our Club has a display in the Springfield Library. The display changes quarterly, so try to pop in and see the new one every few months.
